Sleeping in the village schools

At the end of each day of walking, I would often seek shelter in a local village school classroom.

The head teacher would always greet me with great hospitality, offering me hot water to bath, a dish of Nshima, and permission to sleep in the school classroom!

I can’t express enough how thankful I was to receive such kind support from the local teachers during my walk!
